TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 6 September 2026
OVERVIEW
Welcome to J+B Studio.
These Terms of Service apply to the website jbstudio.world and to purchases made through our online store.
The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to J+B Studio Development, a sole proprietorship established in Sittard, the Netherlands.
J+B Studio brings together curated vintage, one-of-one and reworked garments, objects, design pieces, prints and other selected items. Many of the products we offer have a previous life, history or individual character.
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer our products and services to you.
By visiting our website or purchasing a product from us, you agree to these Terms of Service. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any mandatory rights that you have as a consumer under Dutch or European consumer law.

SECTION 2 — ACCESS AND USE OF THE WEBSITE
You may use our website for lawful purposes and for browsing and purchasing the products and services we offer.
When placing an order, you may be required to provide information including your name, e-mail address, billing information, payment information and shipping address.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate, current and complete.
If you create a customer account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
SECTION 3 — OUR PRODUCTS
J+B Studio offers a combination of vintage, antique, curated, reworked, one-of-one and newly created products.
Many of our items are unique or available only once.
Vintage, antique and previously owned items may show signs of age and previous use. Patina, colour variation, small irregularities, repairs, wear, material variation and other individual characteristics can form part of the history and character of an item.
Reworked garments and objects may combine existing, vintage or previously used materials with new workmanship or components. Variations and traces of the original material may therefore remain visible.
We aim to photograph and describe every product as accurately as reasonably possible and to disclose known material imperfections that we consider relevant to a purchasing decision.
Normal characteristics that have been clearly described or shown in the product listing are not in themselves considered defects.
However, nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights if a product does not conform to what you could reasonably expect based on our description.
Colours and appearance may differ slightly depending on the screen, device and display settings used to view our website.
Measurements of vintage, handmade and reworked items may vary slightly. Where measurements are important to your purchase, please review the measurements stated on the product page or contact us before ordering.
SECTION 4 — AVAILABILITY AND ONE-OF-ONE ITEMS
Many J+B Studio products are one-of-one pieces.
An item displayed on the website is not guaranteed to remain available until your order has been successfully completed and accepted.
In the unlikely event that an item is sold simultaneously through another sales channel or is otherwise unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you as soon as possible and refund any amount already paid for that item.
We reserve the right to discontinue products or change our assortment at any time.
SECTION 5 — ORDERS
By placing an order through our online store, you make an offer to purchase the products in your order.
After placing an order, you will receive an electronic confirmation.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so, for example in the event of an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, payment failure or a product unexpectedly being unavailable.
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled product or order will be refunded.
Please check your order details carefully before completing your purchase.
If you notice an error after placing your order, contact us as soon as possible at brianvalberg@gmail.com.
SECTION 6 — PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices displayed on jbstudio.world are stated in euros (€), unless expressly stated otherwise.
J+B Studio Development participates in the Dutch Small Businesses Scheme (Kleineondernemersregeling – KOR). VAT is therefore not charged separately.
Shipping costs are not included in the product price unless expressly stated otherwise. Any applicable shipping costs are displayed during checkout before you complete your order.
The price applicable to your purchase is the price displayed when you place the order, except in the case of an obvious pricing or technical error.
Payments are processed through the payment methods made available during checkout.
Payment must be successfully completed before an order can be processed for shipment.
SECTION 7 — SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
At launch, J+B Studio delivers orders within the Netherlands.
Our standard shipping rate within the Netherlands is €6.95 unless another rate or promotion is displayed during checkout.
Our estimated delivery time is generally 3 to 5 business days after the order has been processed.
Delivery times are estimates. Although we aim to dispatch and deliver orders within the stated period, delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs, please contact us so that we can investigate the shipment.
For consumer purchases, the risk of loss or damage remains with J+B Studio Development until the order has been received by you or by a third party designated by you, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further information.
SECTION 8 — RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL AND RETURNS
If you are a consumer purchasing online, you generally have the legal right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving the product, without giving a reason, subject to the exceptions provided by law.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us within the applicable withdrawal period.
Please contact:
brianvalberg@gmail.com
After notifying us of your withdrawal, the product must be returned within the applicable statutory return period.
Unless otherwise required by law or agreed by us, the direct cost of returning the product is borne by the customer.
Returned products must be handled with reasonable care. You may inspect a product in the same way as you reasonably would in a physical store.
If a product has been used or handled beyond what is necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and functioning, you may be responsible for any resulting reduction in value, to the extent permitted by law.
Vintage, antique, one-of-one or second-hand status does not by itself remove a consumer's statutory right of withdrawal for an online purchase.
Certain products may be legally excluded from the right of withdrawal, including, where applicable, products made or clearly personalised to a customer's individual specifications.
Any applicable exclusion will be clearly communicated before purchase.
Please refer to our Return and Refund Policy for complete return instructions.
SECTION 9 — REFUNDS
Where you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will refund payments in accordance with applicable Dutch and European consumer law.
Unless otherwise required by law, refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
We may be entitled to wait with the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.
If an item arrives damaged, incorrect or materially different from its description, please contact us promptly at brianvalberg@gmail.com so that we can assess the situation and provide an appropriate solution.
Your statutory rights regarding defective or non-conforming products remain unaffected.
SECTION 10 — CANCELLATIONS
If your order has not yet been fulfilled, you may contact us to request cancellation.
We will make reasonable efforts to cancel the order before shipment.
If the order has already been shipped, you may still have a statutory right of withdrawal as described in our Return and Refund Policy.
SECTION 11 — PRODUCT INFORMATION AND ERRORS
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, prices, photographs, availability and other information on our website are accurate.
Occasionally, however, typographical, technical or other errors may occur.
We reserve the right to correct errors or update information.
If an error materially affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you and, where appropriate, give you the option to confirm the corrected order or cancel it and receive a refund.
SECTION 12 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise indicated, the content created for J+B Studio, including our branding, original photography, graphics, text, website design, original prints and original J+B Studio creative work, is owned by or licensed to J+B Studio Development and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.
You may use our website and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, commercially exploit or materially modify our original content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Third-party brand names, trademarks, artworks, archive materials and other intellectual property referenced in relation to vintage, curated or reworked products remain the property of their respective rights holders.
The sale of a physical vintage, second-hand or reworked item does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by or sponsorship from the original manufacturer, designer, artist or brand unless expressly stated.
SECTION 13 — THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may contain links to, or functionality provided by, third-party services.
These may include payment providers, delivery services, social media platforms or other external websites.
We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites that are outside our control.
Please review the applicable terms and privacy policies of those third parties when using their services.
SECTION 14 — SHOPIFY
J+B Studio Development uses Shopify to operate its online store.
Shopify provides the ecommerce infrastructure that enables us to offer our products and services online.
Purchases made through jbstudio.world are made between you and J+B Studio Development.
Shopify is not the seller of the J+B Studio products you purchase from us.
Certain personal information may be processed by Shopify as part of providing the ecommerce platform and payment services. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy and Shopify's applicable privacy information.
SECTION 15 — PRIVACY
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/AVG).
Personal information may be processed by service providers where this is necessary to operate our online store, process payments, deliver orders or provide customer service.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.
SECTION 16 — CUSTOMER COMMUNICATIONS AND FEEDBACK
If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, comment, suggestion or other feedback to us, you confirm that you have the right to provide that material.
We may use feedback or reviews in connection with operating and promoting J+B Studio where permitted by law.
We will not knowingly use personal information for purposes inconsistent with our Privacy Policy.
SECTION 17 — PROHIBITED USE
You may not use our website or services for unlawful purposes or in a way that infringes the rights of J+B Studio Development or third parties.
You may not deliberately interfere with the security or operation of our website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access to systems or use the website in a fraudulent manner.
Reasonable automated access by legitimate search engines and services is not prohibited where it complies with applicable technical restrictions and law.
SECTION 18 — CONFORMITY AND LEGAL GUARANTEE
Products sold to consumers must conform to the agreement and to what a consumer may reasonably expect based on the nature of the product and the information provided before purchase.
For vintage, antique, used and reworked products, reasonable expectations may take account of the age, previous use, disclosed condition and individual characteristics of the item.
This does not remove or reduce your statutory rights regarding non-conforming goods.
If you believe that a product is defective or does not conform to its description, please contact us at brianvalberg@gmail.com.
SECTION 19 — LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
J+B Studio Development is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time the agreement was concluded, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided that this does not affect mandatory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
SECTION 20 — FORCE MAJEURE
We are not responsible for a delay or failure to perform an obligation where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include disruptions to transport networks, natural disasters, government measures, widespread technical failures or other extraordinary events.
Where such circumstances materially affect your order, we will inform you where reasonably possible and comply with any rights you have under applicable law.
SECTION 21 — SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
SECTION 22 — GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service and agreements between J+B Studio Development and the customer are governed by Dutch law.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection afforded to you under applicable law.
Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
SECTION 23 — CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time, for example because of changes to our services, business practices or applicable legislation.
The version applicable to an order is the version that was in effect when that order was placed.
Material changes will not retrospectively reduce rights that you already have in relation to an existing purchase.
The most current version of these Terms will be available on jbstudio.world.
SECTION 24 — CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMPLAINTS
If you have a question, concern or complaint regarding a product, order, delivery or return, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve the matter.
